Wolf Moon meets Blue Moon Mala

Wolf Moon meets Blue Moon Mala ~ For Sale

🐺🌒Wolf Full Moon Meets Blue Full Moon🔵🌒

~ Half Mala 📿
~ Lessons Taught = Listening Skills & Simplicity
~ Chakra relationship = All, especially throat

Wolf Moon meets Blue Moon MalaI am so happy to show you my first half mala.

Again another journey was set with this mala, one being of learning to listen, for which I am grateful, and simplicity. So if these are some of your resolutions for 2018 this might be just the mala for you.

Wolf Full Moon Meets Blue Full MoonIt combines cloudy quartz, blue agate & crazy lace agate, the latter being the guru bead which is set off with a silver sacred symbolic bead for auspiciousness & good luck used in Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism. There are a couple of other little touches like tiny blue haematite beads, tribal charm and hammered silver hook which all make it a feast for the eyes.

Wolf Full Moon Meets Blue Full MoonThis mala was initially designed in a full moon last year, yet was not put in to place until the Wolf Full Moon. Sometimes these creations will sit until they are ready to make their presence. However this mala is very much the merging of the Wolf Full Moon just passed with the silver grey of the cloudy quartz akin to the beautiful coat of a wolf and the Blue Full Moon with the blue agate, due to happen on January 21st, yes, we will be having two full moons this month.

Wolf Moon meets Blue MoonThis initially I thought would be a full mala as in 108 beads, but halfway it just stopped. I can’t describe fully how long it took for me to actually listen to the fact that this mala wanted to retain simplicity and have 54 beads, I went through numerous beads, broken needles and silk before I finally sat that and a voice said “you are not listening” and I downed tools and finally heard it’s voice and am grateful for the lesson of listening.

Wolf Full Moon Meets Blue Full MoonSimplicity is key with this mala, it makes a great travelling companion and stays put with the silver hook which can be adjusted to sit on any bead, meaning you can have it choker style with a length hanging down or if you put it at the bottom it is like a classic tassel mala. The hook stays in place via the weight of the guru bead and makes the perfect companion for your sun salutations during yoga.

Wolf Full Moon Meets Blue Full MoonThe question is will I be setting this mala under the Blue Full Moon rays or will you?

Retail price £80 – postage free in the UK, outside excludes P&P price.

Agate – It aids in centring and stabilising physical energy. Brazilian Agate harmonises yin and yang. It is a soothing and calming stone which works slowly but brings great strength.

Quartz – Its metaphysical purposes are vast, from helping to expand consciousness to facilitating open communication and stimulating the chakras. For those needing clarity of mind, clear quartz healing properties will eliminate energy blockages and allow energy to flow smoothly throughout the body.

DM me if you wish to snap this beauty up in time for the next Full Moon 🌒

Yoake ( 夜明け ) Mala With Onyx, Tigers Eye, Agate & Pomegranate Symbology ~ Grounding & Protective

This mala for me is the epitome of glamour yet with very clean cut simple lines, the textures of the crystals making up a dazzling show for the eyes.

DSC_0380

I decided to bless this mala with the mantra Ajai Alai, which means “Being in your power and to develop a radian body”.

DSC_0363

One of the main features of this mala is the pomegranate at the back which if worn with hair up sits really nicely at the back of the neck, or you can wrap the mala twice, having the symbology bordered by tigers eye as a choker and the tassel hanging slightly lower which is really very beautiful when done this way.

Yoake ( 夜明け ) Mala With Onyx, Tigers Eye, Agate & Pomegranate Symbology ~ Grounding & Protective

Let me tell you a little bit about Onyx which is the main crystal running through this mala, and then the other crystals involved:

Onyx ~ The healing properties of Onyx are a gem at soothing the stress of everyday life because it works to bring harmony to the work-life balance with its grounding effects that make you feel safe and anchors you to the earth. Feel forever frazzled or include Onyx into your daily wellness routine ~ Root Chakra

Agate ~ It aids in centring and stabilising physical energy. Brazilian Agate harmonises yin and yang. It is a soothing and calming stone which works slowly but brings great strength.

Tigers Eye ~ Emotional healing; Decreasing anxiety; Happiness; Organization/Order; Courage; Focus; Objectivity. Balance, Stealth, Vitality, Strength of Will ~ Solar Plexus Chakra

For now, this mala has gone to a shop, however, I am taking orders for custom malas for January 2018 so if you fancy something tailor-made for you please let me know.

Mother Nature Mala With Blue Tigers Eye, Agate, Hematite & Rosewood.

Mother Nature Mala With Blue Tigers Eye, Agate, Hematite & Rosewood.

I love the richness in colour of this mala set against the hematite.  For me this is again another very grounding and protective mala.

DSC_0321

I had the intention to bless this mala with the mantra Sat Nam Mantra – which is also known as Seed Mantra of Truth as well as Kundalini Mantra for Awareness.

Mother Nature Mala With Blue Tigers Eye, Agate, Hematite & Rosewood.

It has a lovely flow to it, mixing blue tigers eye, sacred rosewood and hematite with an agate guru bead.

Let me tell you a little about the crystals:

Agate: It aids in centring and stabilising physical energy. It is a soothing and calming stone which works slowly but brings great strength.

Electroplated Hematite: helps to absorb negative energy and calms in times of stress or worry. Hematite is a very protective stone and is great to carry to help you stay grounded in many situations. Hematite is also good for working with the Root Chakra, helping to transform negative energies into a more positive vibration.

Rosewood: Rosewood is a very special and rare wood that is considered holy and prized in India. This Rosewood mala is a protective wood and believed to shield one from negative energy. It is also known for healing, improving circulation and aids in manifesting what you desire, dream, and need to heal.

Blue Tigers Eye:  Blue Tiger Eye (also called Hawk’s Eye, Tiger’s Eye, Tigereye) is a verysoothing stone as it aids in reducing stress, increasing calm and easing anxiety.

Quintilis Buddha Mala ~ Custom Request

Quintilis Buddha Mala ~ Custom Request

Quintilis Buddha Mala ~ Custom Request

I have to say I absolutely adore this mala, not because I made it, but because it transformed into something so much more than I expected.

It is a 108 mala with Rudraksha seeds separating at the two first quarters allowing for a shorter mantra and has faceted clear quartz crystals scattered around the back of it.

Quintilis Buddha Mala

July was previously known as Quintilis before it was changed to honour Julius Caesar, and on this 7th day it is also the end of the Oak Tree month according to the Celtic calendar & this is when this mala was birthed.  This mala also was bathed under the full moon of the Buck’s Moon which just passed so it has some very special energy within it other than what naturally occurs with the crystals.

The mantra that manifested with this mala was the Durga Mantra (you can find this on you tube) which is a very powerful mantra against negative forces.

Let’s go through the crystals used.

The pendant piece is hand rolled in 24ct rolled gold and contains a jade hand carved Buddha emblem.  This piece was made rolled in Wales by an elderly lady with the most wonderful, gentle, kind spirit who has been in the jewellery trade for decades.  She is one of my very special and coveted suppliers.

The mala is hand knotted with silk.

The main crystal used around the mala is the unique Moonkaite Crystal.

Moonkaite Crystal

Mookaite is an Australian Jasper of bold, earthy beauty with a fiery fusion of red and yellow energies. It carries an invigorating frequency of strength and vitality, and increases Life Force within the physical body. An Aboriginal Mother Earth stone, it is gaining in popularity throughout the world for its healing capacity, and for empowering one to feel and connect with the electromagnetic energy currents of the Earth. It enables one to utilize these positive energies to increase one’s will and focus one’s personal power. Mookaite promotes an ageless spirit willing to accept change and seek new experiences, and awakens one’s natural instincts in knowing the right direction to take.

Mookaite Jasper is found only in the Kennedy Ranges of Western Australia in outcroppings near Mooka Creek, the area for which it is named. The Aboriginal term “Mooka” means “running waters” and refers to the numerous springs that feed into this area.

Use Mookaite Jasper to connect with elemental Earth powers for increasing self-confidence, self-worth, and to realise one’s full potential. Press a Mookaite palm stone against the upper stomach to activate the Solar Plexus Chakra, the seat of will and personal power.

Mookaite Jasper is an ideal tool for overcoming procrastination by revealing the true reason for avoiding certain tasks and bringing the motivation needed to resolve the issue. Its constant energy keeps one focused and well-grounded while soothing the mind and quieting distracting thoughts. It is great for focusing on a specific goal or for a motivational boost in the workplace.

Mookaite emanates the energy of animal knowing, or instinct, and may be used to amplify one’s own instincts when making decisions, especially when there are conflicting factors to consider. Hold the stone close to receive a gut answer and go with it, even if circumstances suggest otherwise. Mookaite also brings assistance in “knowing” the right direction to take in physical and non-physical travel.

There is so much more to Moonkaite than this for you to look up if you so wish, but this is just a little peek of an overview.

Rudraksha Seeds

The Healing Powers of Rudraksha

Rudraksha beads, botanically known as Elaeocarpus Ganitrus Roxb, are the seeds of the fruit from Rudraksha trees. Rudraksha trees are found mainly in Indonesia, Nepal, and India. According to the ancient Vedic scriptures, Rudraksha Beads were formed from the tears (Aksha) of Lord Shiva (Rudra). They have been used traditionally by Hindu, Buddhist, Japanese, Chinese, and Zen followers for controlling stress, overall healing, meditation, and engendering positive changes.

For thousands of years in India, yogis have worn Rudraksha Beads to experience the deep tranquillity and concentration which are vital for meditation and control of mind and body. Under the power of Rudraksha’s positive influence, vast amounts of Vedic literature were studied and memorised in ancient India by disciples of spiritual knowledge. In China, Rudraksha is used to enhance the flow of Chi life energy in the body and balance Yin & Yang. The Zen Buddhist sect in Japan uses Rudraksha beads to induce deeper states of meditation.

In recent years, the general populace in India has taken to wearing Rudraksha beads to combat the effects of stress: hypertension, depression, and high blood pressure. Without the harmful side-effects and addictive nature of tranquillizers, antidepressants, and beta blockers, men and women experience heightened energy levels, stamina, and peace of mind within a few hours of placing Rudraksha beads in direct contact of their chest region. In the long term, Rudraksha beads reverse the effects of stress, alleviate depression, eliminate anxiety and other mood disorders, improve concentration, enhance relaxation, and exhibit anti-aging properties.

The benefits of Rudraksha beads have been known in Asia for ages and are well documented in traditional and contemporary literature. Due to increasing popularity of Rudraksha malas with the general populace in India, scientific studies have been undertaken in recent years to determine just how Rudraksha Healing works. One of the best-known research papers was published by Dr Suhas Roy of the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology in Banaras, India.

Dr Roy’s research confirmed that the healing powers of Rudraksha beads flow from their electromagnetic properties. When Rudraksha beads are placed over the heart, they act to stabilise the heart beat. Similar to magnets, the beads work on the principle of Dynamic Polarity. Blood circulation and heart beat automatically induce a magnetic field around the body and particularly the heart region. Depending on the polarity and intensity of this induced magnetic field, Rudraksha beads transmit subtle electrical and inductive impulses with opposing polarity and intensity. According, a proportionate balancing force is exerted on the heart to regulate it if it starts beating above or below normal rates. This action helps to ensure ideal blood circulation in the body.

The human body is a complex bio-electronic circuit comprised of the Central Nervous System and the organs and functions it regulates. Streamlined blood flow has a powerful rejuvenating impact on this circuit and serves to prevent stress-related disorders caused by the damaging effects of excess energy on neurones and neurotransmitters. In essence, Rudraksha beads help bring about the well-known “relaxation response” which is the ultimate goal of meditation, yoga, tai chi, biofeedback, and countless other Alternative Medicine methodologies.

Let’s talk about a bit briefly first about bell symbolism.

Bells have a deep symbolic meaning that is associated with the mind and the expansion of consciousness.

Shanti Bracelet Range For Peace, Tranquility & Inner Calm

Agate

Keywords: Protection, Strength, Harmony

Agate’s most noticeable propertiesoverall are balancing yin/yang energy, courage, protection, healing, and calming. Historically it was placed in water for cooking or drinking to dispel sickness. TheMetaphysical and Healing Properties Lore of any specific type of  agate depend to some extent on the color of the agate, but all agates have certain things in common.

Agate is a stone of strength. It was used by the Ancients on the breastplates of armor to give warriors strength and make them victorious in battle. Energetically, it is considered to give strength in both battle and physically.

Agate enhances creativity and strengthens the intellect, making it a beneficial stone for both students and artists. It is also known as a good luck stone. As a stone of harmony, one of the things agate does is balance yin/yang energy. Agate increases energy. However, because it is a grounding stone, it does not increase energy at all times, but rather enables bursts of energy as needed. In this way, agate is a conservation stone,  and enhances longevity.

Agate is a very protective stone. It is especially protective for children, and makes an excellent stone for children’s amulets,  medicine bags, jewelry, or just to carry around in a pocket. Agates are said to be especially useful for protecting children from falling. Agate is also used to protect against harmful spirits.

Emotionally, agate gives courage, emotional strength, self-confidence, and dispels fears. It can also lessen feelings of envy by grounding the emotions. In the same way, it assists with acceptance of all things. It can be very beneficial for self-examination as well as examination of the circumstances one finds oneself in. These qualities make agate superior for easing anxiety and stress.   Plume agates are especially helpful for anxiety and stress relief.  Particularly when placed on the Solar Plexus (3rd) Chakra it can help one to accept one’s emotions, thereby helping overcome those emotions that one wants to remove.

Because of the harmonizing qualities of agate, and its emotional energies of removing and releasing resentments and bitterness, it is also considered by many to be an excellent stone for helping to heal and improve relationships.

Agate can cleanse and stabilize the aura by removing and/or transforming negative energy.

As far as relationships go, agate is a stone of marital and romantic fidelity.

Flower Moon Mala, Clear Quartz, Master Healer

Flower Moon Mala, Clear Quartz, Master Healer

Flower Moon Mala, Clear Quartz, Master Healer

This mala was born of the Flower Full Moon, bringing it a touch of the exotic, vintage and glamour all at the same time.

Flower Moon Mala, Clear Quartz, Master Healer

This piece is a 108 Mala, hand knotted with yellow silk capturing the length with clear quartz, the Master Healer of crystals.   The pendant piece is a cobalt blue beaded tassel with antique crystal cap, bringing with it the allure almost of a time capsule encapsulating love and light from it’s previous owner and the beautiful way that vintage shows its imperfection as perfection.

Let me tell you a little about the wonderful clear quartz crystal this mala is made from.

These crystals create a powerful resonance within both the third eye chakra and the crown chakra, which is the highest chakra in the physical body.

The crown chakra connects you up to the soul star chakra, situated in the etheric body above the head.

It brings clarity to your communication and will amplify your thoughts and may assist you by stimulating clearer thinking.

It has a strong resonance, which is why it is commonly used by healers as part of crystal healing.

It has a positive effect on all chakras as it protects the aura and expands the human energy field.

Although this stone is usually thought of as one of the chakra stones for the higher chakras, it will aid all chakras.

Flower Moon Mala, Clear Quartz, Master Healer

In the metaphysical world, Clear Quartz crystals are the supreme gift of Mother Earth. Even the smallest is imbued with the properties of a master healer teacher. Ancients believed these stones to be alive, taking a breath once every hundred years or so, and many cultures thought them to be incarnations of the Divine.

You can find much more about chakras on my website, there is a Chakra Activation Workshop of over 30 days or a simple single page breakdown.

This mala was blessed with the OM sound

Sounding the tone of”OM” creates a vibrational frequency of harmony in the body. The sound of the “OM” is the sound of creation and symbolizes the infinite. It connects our inner world to the greater outer and beyond, it aligns our energy and creates a feeling of openess and expansion. Traditionally spelled O-M, it is pronounced or toned A-U-M. Allowing the sound of each syllable to vibrate within. This can be done consciously feeling the “A” sound in the heart, The “U” sound in the abdomen and the “M” sound in the head. Any way you do it –The experience is connection , unity and love.

“The ever present OM, is the pulse of the universe and the source of our whole being.”

The meaning of the symbol “OM”

This particular mala comes with it’s own beautiful bag to keep it safe as seen above and is currently being shop displayed, however if it has caught your eye or you perhaps would like a personal mala made up be it vintage, traditional, more modern, just send me a message through my contact page and we can discuss your wishes.

Malas

Just to briefly introduce you to malas if you are new to them.

A mala is a strand of beads, traditionally used for counting during mantra meditations. Malas can consist of 108 beads, 54 beads, 27 beads, 21 or 19 beads. Malas have been used since at least the 10th century as a meditation aid. They allow us to focus the mind on a single pointed task as we work through our meditation.  If you practice meditation and yoga, a mala can be a powerful tool in your quest for wellness and clearer understanding.

This particular mala has a quarter divider, then half, then quarter for anyone who wishes to have the flexibility of varying the amount they chant.

Mantras

Mantras go hand in hand with a mala, so let me tell you briefly about those incase you are just touching base with this wonderful way of healing.

A mantra is a word, sound, or phrase repeated to aid in your concentration while meditating.

When using a mantra, it’s believed that only the positive intentions and actions will fill your mind and eliminate negativity.

A mantra can be as simple as the word ‘love,’ something you are thankful for, or a phrase such as ‘om shanti, shanti, shanti’ which represents all encompassing peace. You can also meditate on an affirmation, such as ‘I accept myself.’

Many people are fortunate enough to be gifted a mantra from a teacher or guru.

However, you can choose a mantra for yourself depending on what you are needing in life. While choosing a mantra, you should consider your inner motivations for practising meditation.

Whether you’re looking for positivity, health, happiness, self love, or if you simply want to find balance.

Sacral Chakra Mala Born Of The Pink Full Moon With Agate & Mica with FREE earrings

Sacral Chakra Mala Born Of The Pink Full Moon With Agate & Mica with FREE earrings

Sacral Chakra Mala Born Of The Pink Full Moon With Agate & Mica with FREE earrings

Sacral Chakra Mala Born Of The Pink Full Moon With Agate & Mica with FREE earrings

This Sacral Chakra was inspired by my Chakra Activation Workshop Series, this week of which we covered the Sacral Chakra and was born of the latest Full Moon, which was the Pink Full Moon.

The colour vibration of the subtle oranges which are agate resonates with the sacral chakra and is threaded with a golden coloured silk, all hand knotted, finished off with a stunning large golden mica bead and tassle strewn with charming deep purple coloured seed beads.

I decided to celebrate the Pink Full Moon and throw in a pair of FREE earrings.  Very often one buys a mala and finds that it is hard also to pair it up with earrings one might have at home, as they are often sold ‘just as a mala on it’s own’ so I thought I would give it a helping hand an include a pair.  Which is something I might well do for some of the future malas that I make according to the feedback that I get from my lovely customers.

Sacral Chakra Mala Born Of The Pink Full Moon With Agate & Mica with FREE earrings

These earrings are made with pretty glass seed beads and leaf with two dusky orange moonstone beads in each one as a celebration to the Full Moon just passed.  The earring finding is gold plated.

I will cover aspects such as what is a mala, mantras etc, but first I wanted to say this mala inspires grace and elegance in my thoughts when I look at it.  It’s dreamy in it’s colours, giving warmth yet fluidity in the movement of the gentle tassle made up of lots of tiny seed beads.

So I will start with the mantra, that being a triple mantra that came to my whilst making this mala, the words of which are:

Aad Guray Nameh, Jugaad Guray Nameh, Sat Guray Nameh, Siri Guroo Dayv-ay Nameh
Aad Such Jugaad Such Hai Bhee Such Nanak Hosee Bhee Such
Aad Such Jugaad Such Hai Bhai Such Nanak Hosee Bhai Such

  • Translation:

I bow to the primal Guru.I bow to the thruth that has existed throughout the ages I bow to True Wisdom. I bow to the Great Divine Wisdom

True in the beginning, true throughout the ages, true even now, Nanak, truth shall ever be.
True in the beginning, true throughout the ages, true even now, Nanak, truth shall ever be.

  • More Information:

Triple Mantra clears all types of psychic and physical obstacles in one’s daily life. It is a sure protector against car, plane and other accidents. It cuts through all opposing vibrations, thoughts, words and actions. Listening to or chanting TRIPLE MANTRA will strengthen your magnetic field and keep negativity away. There are three parts to this mantra. The first part will surround you with a powerful light of protection, the second part will remove obstacles from your spiritual path and the third part will remove all types of obstacles from your daily life.

What Is A Mala?

A Mala is a string of beads used to count mantras (Sanskrit prayers) in sets of 108 repetitions. A mantra is a word or series of words chanted aloud or silently to invoke spiritual qualities. Chanting is used as a spiritual tool in virtually every cultural and religious tradition.

A mala can be less than 108, but 108 is a full set.  You can divide a mala by four or half to reduce the amount of times you wish to repeat a mantra.   A mala is similar in a way to a Catholic Rosary.

Usually with a full sized mala there is a 109th bead, this you will find at the front with a tassle or pendant of some kind attached.  In this instance I have used a beautiful mica bead. The Guru Bead, Seva Mother or Mother Bead validates the end of one round in the prayer cycle. One prayer, chant, affirmation – one bead.

Handknotted Silk, Glass & Seed Bead Spring Mala

Handknotted Silk, Glass & Seed Bead Spring Mala

This beautiful Spring mala blossomed under the Spring Equinox or Vernal Equinox as some call it.  The colours and pieces jumped out at me and called to be seamlessly hand knotted with a royal silk blue thread.

If you don’t know what a mala is please scroll below for more information, this is a full 108 bead mala with a gold bead at the end called the Guru Bead, Seva Mother or Mother Bead. It validates the end of one round in the prayer cycle. One prayer, chant, affirmation – one bead. On a full sized mala the guru bead is the 109th bead.

untitled-0077

The main component on the counting beads are made of fire polished Czech glass and is surprisingly light to hold.  The lovely Spring coloured tassle is made from howlite seed beads, I will cover about howlite a little later on.

Let me tell you a little about glass.

Glass is an ancient material, one of the most ancient known and used by man. The first glass used was natural obsidian, volcanic glass, used to make arrowheads, knives, jewelry, etc. Glass objects created of man made glass are reported to have been found as early from as 4,500 BC in Mesopotamia and 3,000 BC in ancient Egypt. Many consider glass to have no metaphysical properties, but others who are aware, realize that glass has energy like all else in the Universe, and thus has its own set of properties. Glass is a melding of the traditional four elements, because through fire and air the silica earth element is made molten and transmuted into a liquid only to return to its earthly state as an apparent solid. It can be made to focus light or allow light to pass through invisibly or carry lightwaves great distances through tiny strands. Metaphysically, glass represents and carries the energies of transformation, merging of elements, rebirth, focus and communication. The colors of the glass bring the vibrations of those specific color energies.

Howlite

Keyword: Calming

Spiritual and Psychic Properties

Spiritually, howlite is a stone of awareness. It can prepare the user or wearer to receive wisdom and attunement from the Higher Self and the Divine. It is also used for dimensional travel and healthy meditation.

Howlite can also be used to release attachments, or cords, linking old emotional pain, from this life or a past life, to the present. Once these atachments are severed, it allows for processing those emotions and bringing peace in those areas.

Mental and Emotional Properties

Howlite is a wonder stone for calming upset states of mind and emotion. Howlite decreases an overly critical state of mind, selfishness, stress, and anxiety, bringing calm and relaxation. Howlite also can decrease anger originating from within or externally. The wake of such calming can help one be truly comfortable as oneself without the need to pretend to be anything but what you are.

Subtlety and tact are also energies that howlite brings. This can calm difficult communications and ease confrontations., particularly by decreasing rudeness and facetiousness.

Howlite is also used to heighten creativity and expand self-expression.

Physical Conditions Properties

Howlite is used in crystal healing for pain, insomnia (especially as a gem elixir before bed)

Malas

This particular piece is a 108 bead mala.  In Hinduism and Sikhism this means a string of prayer beads, much like a Catholic rosary.

Malas are used for keeping count while reciting, chanting or mentally repeating a mantra or the name or names of a deity.  The beads therefore should be sufficient in size to make the counting easy.

When I knot malas I generally sing a mantra.  With this one I christened it with the happy “Om” mantra

This particular mala was hand knotted with silk, Czech glass fire polished cobalt navy blue beads, Czech glass fire polished matte metallic gold beads with an Afghan seed bead pendant gold plated.

Descriptions of the healing properties of crystals will be explained throughout this publication.

The best way to chose the ‘right’ crystal or gemstone jewellery is to be intuitive, use your instincts.  The stones have a vibrationary element that will be right for you or not.  Many people ‘think’ about it too much. I find the 1st one even from a photo that you are drawn to is generally the ‘right’ one for you or for that time.

untitled-0072

Om Mantra

In Hinduism, Om (also spelled Aum) is a Hindu sacred sound that is considered the greatest of all mantras. The syllable Om is composed of the three sounds a-u-m (in Sanskrit, the vowels a and u combine to become o) and the symbol’s threefold nature is central to its meaning. It represent several important triads:

  • The three worlds – earth, atmosphere, and heaven
  • The three major Hindu gods – Brahma, Vishnu, and Siva
  • The three sacred Vedic scriptures – Rg, Yajur, and Sama

Thus Om mystically embodies the essence of the entire universe. This meaning is further deepened by the Indian philosophical belief that God first created sound and the universe arose from it. As the most sacred sound, Om is the root of the universe and everything that exists and it continues to hold everything together.

Chakras

A LITTLE ABOUT CHAKRAS.

The seven chakras are the centers in our bodies inw hich energy flows through.  Blocked energy in our seven chakras can often lead to illness, so it’s important to understand what each chakra represents and what we can do to keep this energy flowing.

You can find out more about chakras here:  Chakras

untitled-0066

The Owner to be of this mala will make it their own, but the colours call out to me relate to the solar plexus and 3rd eye.

Here is a little bit about each chakra mentioned above.

Solar Plexus

solar plexusThe Solar Plexus Chakra, located between the navel and solar plexus, is the core of our personality, our identity, of our ego.

The third chakra is the center of willpower. While the Sacral chakra seeks pleasure and enjoyment, the third chakra is all about the perception of who you are.

The gift of this chakra is sensing your personal power, being confident, responsible, and reliable.

The third chakra is the center of your self-esteem, your willpower, self-discipline, as well as warmth in your personality.

The energy of this chakra allows you to transform inertia into action and movement. It allows you to meet challenges and mover forward in your life.

The main challenge for the third chakra is to use your personal power in a balanced manner.

What does that mean? It means consciously harnessing the energy of the solar plexus chakra. It means being proactive rather then reactive or inactive.

Beings with excessive third chakra energy react to life circumstances, they have emotional outbursts and are often stressed out.

Beings with blocked or deficient third chakra are passive and inactive – allowing life to pass by while they do nothing.

Strong third chakra reflects the ability to move forward in life with confidence and power. It reflects the ability to make conscious choices to choose and to act.

The message of the third chakra is: You have the power to choose.

You can choose to achieve your life purpose or you can live out your karma or past experiences.

What do you choose?

Do you choose love, light and healing?

Do you accept that you have the power to choose?

Do you feel a sense of freedom when you make a choice?

The third chakra is the center of your self-esteem.

Every time you judge or criticize yourself, you deplete this chakra and weaken your willpower.

Self love, self acceptance, and acknowledgement of your own worth are the building blocks of the third chakra.

A woman with an open and balanced Manipura Chakra values herself and her work, is confident in her ability to do something well, loves and accepts herself, is willing to express herself in a powerful way, knows that she has the freedom to choose to be herself and direct her own life.

3rd Eye

The Third Eye Chakra transcends time. It is located in the brain, at the brow, above the base of the nose.

third-eye-chakra.jpg.pagespeed.ce.mz56G6w0K5

The gift of this chakra is seeing – both inner and outer worlds.

The energy of this chakra allows us to experience clear thought as well as gifts of spiritual contemplation and self reflection.

Through the gift of seeing we can internalize the outer world and with symbolic language we can externalize the inner world.

The energy of Ajna allows us to access our inner guidance that comes from the depths of our being. It allows us to cut through illusion and to access deeper truths – to see beyond the mind, beyond the words.

The “way of the third eye” is seeing everything as it is from a point of “witness” or “observer”, or from simply being mindful – moment by moment.

It means examining self-limiting ideas and developing wisdom that comes from a perspective that transcends the duality of good or bad, black or white. It means seeing and helping others to see the deeper meanings of the situations in their lives.

Sixth chakra is holistic in nature. When this chakra is fully activated, both hemispheres of the brain function in synchrony. The right hemisphere’s creativity and synthetic thinking is integrated and balanced with left hemisphere’s logical and analytical thinking.

The Third Eye is not only the seat of wisdom, but also a seat of conscience. This is where you not only see what is going on, but you also know what it means. This is where your sense of justice and your ethics originate.

When your third eye is open, you not only see but you also understand.

Chakra Gemstone Bracelets With Lava Rock

Chakra Gemstone Bracelets With Lava Rock

I had my mind on making some of these for a while as had accumulated a few lava stones over the years and tadaa was very happy when one of my gemstone supplies put together a chakra collection to use with them.  Since then and now these bracelets elsewhere have become incredibly popular, so I am very pleased that ‘finally’ I have gotten around to making my very own.

untitled-0066

What’s So Special About Them?

Firstly apart from being rather fetching to the eye they are practical, strung on elastic they comfortably stretch over the hand and I have even made a few in different sizes, just incase, but normally one size fits most.

Secondly they contain lava stones.  Why are these so important?  The reason apart from their own individual healing properties is that they are porous and as such will take in liquids or vapours that come in to contact with.

The information I have seen given is to apply neat essential oils to them.  I wouldn’t recommend this apart from lavender as most essential oils shouldn’t be worn neat on the skin, which inevitably they will come in to contact with.

I would recommend the following:

  • Either dab them with an essential oil mix, ie oil with a carrier base oil, or a couple of oils in a carrier base oil, whichever is your favourite
  • Suspend them above a cone or joss stick they will take in the glorious smell
  • Place them in a box with something containing your favourite smell, scented handkerchief or joss sticks, candles etc, the list of fun is endless

This way when you are using the bracelet you get the added benefit of the wonderful aroma.

I put my personal chakra bracelet with this beautiful candle above called Black Orchid made by @intentionkandles (found on instagram).  This particular candle infused it with the graceful yet opulent notes of orchids, jasmine & amber, tweaking it with refreshing notes for a slight lift of bergamot, simply heavenly!

Next, below this photo we move on to lava stone and it’s benefits.

This bracelet really is packed with goodness, much like a superfood!

untitled-0064

Lava Rock (Volcanic Rock, Basalt)

Volcanic Stone (lava rock or basalt) is a rock formed from magma erupted from a volcano. In other words, it differs from other igneous rock by being of volcanic origin.

Since basalt is formed from molten lava, and molten lava was once rock that is heated so much it was liquid, you can only imagine the strength, fire and power contained within basalt! Basalt is also known as lava rock.

Basalt is a stone of strength and courage, it allows one the opportunity for stability throughout changes in their life. If you are going through a lot of shifts in your life then basalt would be a helpful stone for you. Basalt helps to diminish the negative aspects of one’s character and allow us one to see where modification of your character can be helpful.

Some of the metaphysical and healing properties*:

  • Brings physical and mental strength and courage
  • Raises energy levels
  • Increases Libido
  • Enhances Creativity
  • Brings Stability
  • Helps with anger management
  • Considered to be a fertility stone for women
  • Provides radiation shelding
  • Considered to be anti-bacterial, anti-viral and disinfectant
  • Cleanses Negativity

Astrological:

– Taurus

– Cancer

Chakras:

– Crown chakra

– Root chakra

This is perfect being in a chakra bracelet as it links both top and bottom chakras, the most prominent ones.

untitled--5

Next I move on to the chakra stones used within this bracelet, they are as follows:

Root Chakra – Red Sea Bamboo

untitled-0069

You can find out at a brief glance about chakras on my page here:  Chakras

But I will cover a bit about them below.

untitled-0067

What is a chakra?

The Sanskrit word Chakra literally translates to wheel or disk. In yoga, meditation, and Ayurveda, this term refers to wheels of energy throughout the body. There are seven main chakras, which align the spine, starting from the base of the spine through to the crown of the head. To visualize a chakra in the body, imagine a swirling wheel of energy where matter and consciousness meet. This invisible energy, called Prana, is vital life force, which keeps us vibrant, healthy, and alive.

The Importance of the Main Chakras in the Body

These swirling wheels of energy correspond to massive nerve centers in the body. Each of the seven main chakras contains bundles of nerves and major organs as well as our psychological, emotional, and spiritual states of being. Since everything is moving, it’s essential that our seven main chakras stay open, aligned, and fluid. If there is a blockage, energy cannot flow. Think of something as simple as your bathtub drain. If you allow too much hair to go into the drain, the bathtub will back up with water, stagnate and eventually bacteria and mold will grow. So is too with our bodies and the chakras. A bathtub is simple; it’s physical so the fix is easy.

Keeping a chakra open is a bit more of a challenge, but not so difficult when you have awareness. Since mind, body, soul, and spirit are intimately connected, awareness of an imbalance in one area will help bring the others back into balance. Take for example, a wife, who has recently lost her husband. She develops acute bronchitis, which remains in the chest, and then gets chest pains each time she coughs. The whole heart chakra is affected in this case. If she realizes the connection between the loss and the bronchitis, healing will occur much faster if she honors the grieving process and treats that as well as the physical ailment.

The Chakras of Matter

The first three chakras, starting at the base of the spine are chakras of matter. They are more physical in nature.

First Chakra: The Muladhara is the chakra of stability, security, and our basic needs. It encompasses the first three vertebrae, the bladder, and the colon. When this chakra is open, we feel safe and fearless.

Second Chakra: The Svadhisthana chakra is our creativity and sexual center. It is located above the pubic bone, below the navel, and is responsible for our creative expression.

Third Chakra: The Manipura chakra means lustrous gem and it’s the area from the navel to the breastbone. The third chakra is our source of personal power.

The Fourth Chakra: The Connection Between Matter and Spirit

Located at the heart center, the fourth chakra, anahata is at the middle of the seven and unites the lower chakras of matter and the upper chakras of spirit. The fourth is also spiritual but serves as a bridge between our body, mind, emotions, and spirit. The heart chakra is our source of love and connection.

When we work through our physical chakras, or the first three, we can open the spiritual chakras more fully.

The Chakras of Spirit

Fifth Chakra: The Vishuddha chakra is the fifth chakra, located in the area of the throat. This is our source of verbal expression and the ability to speak our highest truth. The fifth chakra includes the neck, thyroid, and parathyroid glands, jaw, mouth, and tongue.

Sixth Chakra: The Ajna chakra is located in between the eyebrows. It is also referred to as the “third eye” chakra. Ajna is our center of intuition. We all have a sense of intuition but we may not listen to it or heed its warnings. Focus on opening the sixth chakra will help you hone this ability.

Seventh Chakra: The Sahaswara chakra or the “thousand petal lotus” chakra is located at the crown of the head. This is the chakra of enlightenment and spiritual connection to our higher selves, others, and ultimately, to the divine. It is located at the crown of the head.

As you can see the chakras are vitally important to each and every centre of our mind, body, spirit and soul.  Keeping them balanced is something we should be constantly aware of.  By wearing the bracelet, you get this gentle reminder, as well as something infused with your favorite scent which in itself can be balancing and something pretty to the eye.

How To Use Your Bracelet

Now that you know how to infuse your bracelet, about chakras and how your bracelet relates to each area, my advice is to use it firstly as a reminder, but also as a physical element during meditation.

I take mine off, hold them in one hand, placing my fingers on the root (red bead) chakra and meditate on that point, moving my fingers up as I go through each centre.

Or if you feel a need to just work on one and are short of time, use the colour of the stone as a visualisation tool.

Either way, have fun and enjoy your beautiful chakra bracelet and feel your spirits lifted!

Blessings, Justine xx

Handmade Amethyst Ward Necklace With Haematite & Agate

Handmade Amethyst Ward Necklace With Haematite & Agate

This necklace to me has a ‘wise’ feeling about it, as if it has been around for a long time, yet it hasn’t, but perhaps has in an essence yet to be known.

It’s very striking and sits between or above the bust line depending how tall you are and makes a statement be it refined.  The colours give a sense of warmth and comfort yet delicious to look at as the various oranges, terracotta hues glint in the sunlight.

Ward

In archaic terminolgy a ward is a guard or protector.  Many of the stones in this necklace, especially the amethyst’s key functions are protective and this feature is the one at the forefront of my mind when knotting this colourful piece that is sure to give you a feeling of comfort when worn, or as a centre piece in a room/area that you frequent.

Mantras

This necklace has been hand knotted with silk within an infusion containing the ancient healing oils of frankincense.

I tend to intuitively sing what comes to me when making these creations.   This time it was the mantra Saa Taa Naa Maa.  You can find out the specifics of this important mantra here:  Saa Taa Naa Maa

Getting to the ancient root of it all, mantra, at its core, is the basis of all religious traditions, scriptures, and prayers. According to Pandit Vamadeva Shastri (Dr. David Frawley), when carefully chosen and used silently, mantras are said to have the ability to help alter your subconscious impulses, habits, and afflictions. Mantras, when spoken or chanted, direct the healing power of Prana (life force energy) and, in traditional Vedic practices, can be used to energize and access spiritual states of consciousness.

At the end of the day, the mantra is meant to bring you back to simplicity. We live in such a complex world that it’s easy to get lost in all the details. Mantras can help you circle back to the simplistic approach to life and focus on those things that inspire you and truly make you happy.

Handmade Imp Mother Of Pearl Amulet With Agate, Lodalite & Olive Korean Jade

Handmade Imp Mother Of Pearl Amulet With Agate, Lodalite & Olive Korean Jade

untitled-9-of-9

Welcome to viewing this lovely little piece called ‘Imp’, I clearly had sunshine and warm sands in my mind when I made this piece.

You might ask why ‘Imp’  Most of the names and ‘ideas’ about the ‘personality’ of the piece just come to me intuitively and are hard to ignore.  To me an Imp isn’t a bad thing, it is a sometimes mischievous mystical being wanting to get up to fun!  That is how it was for me in this particular instance. The impending Summer, sunshine, more time outdoors enjoying Mother Nature came up with this formation of frolicking.  Of course who wouldn’t want a little fun?  I guess the future Owner of this piece will.

Amulet

An amulet is an object, usually worn, that is considered to have powers that will protect the person. In many cases, it is the same as a talisman; but a talisman may be carried, where an amulet is usually worn. Both are considered to be protection against some form of evil and are common to numerous cultures ancient and present. Faith in the protective object was often greater for many in past times, however, when more folkloric beliefs were accepted.  Mother of pearl in China is often considered to be a good luck amulet.

What does Om mean?

Turquoise potatoe

Real turquoise in itself is pretty hard to get hold of and very expensive.  So as a bit of ingenuity and skilled craftsmanship there is now jewellery being made out of “Pomme de Terre” or literally “Apple of the Earth”, fashioned in to bear the resemblance of different stones, in this case turquoise.  I would certainly have believed that these little pieces of organic abundance created by mother nature were turquoise had I not been told otherwise.

Some of you may know that the potatoe has a colourful and abundant history.  The Inca Indians in Peru were the first to cultivate potatoes around 8,000 BC to 5,000 B.C.  You can read more about the history of this now every day vegetable here:  Potato Goodness

Potatoe  jewellery takes at least two weeks to ‘set’ before they are even ready to be painstakingly morphed in to looking like semi precious gems.

Handknotted 108 mala with bayong wood, rudraksha seeds & silver shannon knot pendant.

Handknotted 108 mala with bayong wood, rudraksha seeds & silver shannon knot pendant.

Handknotted 108 mala with bayong wood, rudraksha seeds & silver shannon knot pendant.

This particular knot has the advantage of being very lightweight having used a light wood and rudraksha seeds throughout, making it the ideal travel companion on your trips be it homeland or to far flung places.

Though this is a 108 bead mala, I have set silver indicators every quarter so that you can do a quick mantra session giving ease to know that you are at the right place at the right time.

With this one I christened it with the happy “Ek ong kar” mantra

This particular mala was hand knotted with  silk, stringing light rosewood, rudraksha seeds with a silver shannon knot pendant.

Descriptions of the healing properties of this mala will be explained throughout this publication.

The best way to chose the ‘right’ crystal or healing jewellery is to be intuitive, use your instincts.  The stones have a vibrationary element that will be right for you or not.  Many people ‘think’ about it too much. I find the 1st one even from a photo that you are drawn to is generally the ‘right’ one for you or for that time.

54 Bead Mala With Shannon Knot Volcanic Stone, Agate & Silver Shannon Knot

54 Bead Mala With Shannon Knot Volcanic Stone, Agate & Silver Shannon Knot

This mala is a chunkier one than my usual style.  I had behind it’s creation the idea of making something more masculine as I have had a few enquiries in this area.

As such the beads are bigger/heavier and the colours more earth like.

The reaction to this style has been favored by both men and women, the weight gives a lovely presence to be held in one’s hand or pocket or worn, you will feel it’s reassuring weight.

This mala has been hand knotted with silk within an infusion containing the ancient healing oils of frankincense.

It has been christened with the great & victorious, Ketan Patwardhan – Mahamrityunjaya Mantra

Citrine is well known in crystal work as a success and prosperity stone to the point that it is called the “Success Stone.” It is said to promote and manifest success and abundance in all areas, and in many ways. It is particularly used to promote success in business if used in the cash box of a shop, carried or worn, earning it another nickname, “Merchant’s Stone.” In addition to manifesting abundance, citrine also brings energies of generosity so that the prosperity and success is shared.

Citrine is a solar plexus chakra  stone used metaphysically to increase, magnify and clarify personal power and energy. This increased personal power can be used for the focused intent of the individual, as it brings will power as well.

Citrine is a fabulous stone to use to combat negative energy of any kind by breaking them up and dissipating them. It is helpful to clear unwanted energies from the environment, whether it be home, office, car, or other space indoors or out. Handmade Jade Buddha Mala

Handmade Jade Buddha Mala

Handmade Jade Buddha Mala

This is a beautiful statement piece, the colours/design of which was inspired by the ‘taster’ term I did on Tibetan healing.

The colours call out to be seen, whether on someone or adorning something in the house.  It would be a shame to keep it hidden away.

This piece is a 108 bead mala.

With this one I christened it with the beautiful Moola Mantra.

This particular mala was hand knotted with silk, stringing turquoise, coral beads, coral nuggets and rudraksha seeds.

The pendant piece is hand carved in green jade in the form of Buddha, each side being slightly different.  This jade piece was originally sourced by Welsh jewelling family who have practiced their trade for many years.  They set the Buddha in 24ct rolled gold giving it a stunning focal surround.

Descriptions of the healing properties of crystals will be explained throughout this publication.
