Unleash The Goddess In You
This is a totally unique piece as in will not be replicated anywhere else, a one-off. I felt slightly in awe when making it. The labradorite focal piece is wrapped in hand-rolled 24ct gold and has the most stunning flashes I have ever seen. A magical world exists inside just visually, let alone the healing properties that this stunner holds.
The neck piece is made from very high-quality Lapis Lazuli. This was my only strand of this calibre lapis lazuli, and it’s grade is evident when you look at the pieces, the fine cut and flecks of lustre within, giving an “ahhh” moment of appreciation.
This necklace totally resonates with the 3rd eye, the area of perception, intuition, things seen and unseen, our psychic gifts and innate ways of wisdom that we hold within. Also with our throat chakra, forming our modes of expression, sound and communication.
Let me talk a little about the healing properties of each crystal.
It is, in every sense, a Stone of Magic, a crystal of shamans, diviners, healers, and all who travel and embrace the universe seeking knowledge and guidance. For self-discovery, it is excellent for awakening one’s own awareness of inner spirit, intuition and psychic abilities.
Encourages self-awareness, allows self-expression and reveals inner truth, providing qualities of honesty, compassion and morality to the personality. Stimulates objectivity, clarity and encourages creativity. Lapis Lazuli assists to confront and speak one’s truth and inspires confidence
Lapis Lazuli has been a symbol for royalty, gods and goddesses, honour, spirit, wisdom and truth since the beginning of our history. It is said to facilitate a connection between the celestial and material realms, and assist in contacting guardian spirits. It can function as “a bridge between the worlds”. Lapis Lazuli will also enhance dreaming and journeying work, as well as help with dream recall. It is related to both the 5th (throat) and 6th (third eye) chakras.
In folklore and myth, Lapis was said to impart ancient knowledge and the wisdom how to use it. It is connected with planet Jupiter and brings expansion of the intellect and good fortune. It can also help in clearing out the past, and what no longer serves you; aligning you with a higher truth.
Historical Background Of Lapis Lazuli
The sarcophagus of King Tutankhamen was richly inlaid with Lapis, as well as other burial ornaments of Egyptian kings and queens. King Tutankhamen’s mask was adorned with Lapis. Figurines of Lapis scarabs symbolized Pharaoh’s power. The stone was widely used in pendants, protective amulets, and other jewellery, and ground into powder for dyes, eyeshadow and medicinal elixirs. Queen Cleopatra wore eye makeup made from Lapis. The garments of priests and royalty were dyed with powdered Lapis. Egyptian judges carried a Lapis stone with an inscription “true”, which may be where its association with truth originates from. The Romans used this stone as an aphrodisiac. Ancient Hebrews used Lapis to adorn their ceremonial robes. Buddhists recommend Lapis as a stone to bring inner peace and freedom from negative thought, and many malas are made from Lapis Lazuli. The name of the stone originates from ancient Persian, and roughly translates to ‘blue stone’.
