December 3rd, Cold Full Moon In Gemini

The last Full Moon for 2017, falls in the air sign of Gemini on December 3, the same day that Mercury goes retrograde.  This Full Moon is also a Super Moon, which means its energy is going to be amplified.

This is a time when we might feel stagnant, the feeling of one step forwards and two back.  However it is a time to honor this energy, to embrace some stillness and listen, for it is a time when truths can be revealed and that which was stuck surfaces, the light shining revealing all.

Let the energy bide it’s time, allowing the truth to unfold naturally knowing that this knowledge will serve your highest good and set you free.

This is also a time when this energy can work amongst your relationships both those of a romantic nature, work or otherwise.  The time of rebirth and renewal with the energy leading up to this point has been challenging for some or most but this energy is beginning to fade.

As the culmination point to all of this energy, really use the Full Moon as an opportunity to celebrate just how far you have come and to congratulate yourself for this new beginning.

It is also time to remember that we are here to learn lessons, being placed in a temporary vessel at some point of which to leave and take with us the wisdom of the here and now that we have received with an open heart.

Here is a beautiful quote for this time:

Here is a little ritual to acknowledge all that you have achieved, a time of appreciation.

The Cold Moon Ritual

What You’ll Need

  • Blue Candle
  • Frankincense incense or oil which you can find here:  Frankincense Oil
  • Blank Paper
  • Ball point pen with blue ink
  • Blue candle

How To Do It

Mercury governs the throat chakra, which corresponds to the colour blue, and Frankincense incense. It is recommended to get a blue candle, and Frankincense incense (or oil) to honour Mercury, and to call forth clear communication.

Light the blue candle, and incense, and open sacred space with a prayer of gratitude for the time, energy, and intention of the ritual. Honor creativity and creation from a place of gratitude, and call in energies that support your highest good, “for the benefit of all beings.”

Chakra-Healing-Throat-Chakra

Take about 10 minutes to meditate while softly gazing at the flame of the candle, and with each inhale visualize the light of the universe expanding within you, with each exhale allow all that does not serve you to dissolve.

After the 10 minute meditation, say the following affirmations out loud:

  • I am open, clear, and honest in my communication.
  • I have a right to speak my truth.
  • I communicate my feelings with ease.
  • I express myself creatively through speech, writing, or art.
  • I have a strong will that lets me resolve my challenges.
  • I nourish my spirit through creativity.
  • I live an authentic life. I have integrity.
  • I love to share my experiences and wisdom. I know when it is time to listen.
  • I express my gratitude towards life.
  • I listen to my body and my feelings to know what my truth is.
  • I take good care of my physical body.
  • I am at peace.

Now, take a piece of blank paper, and write the following intentions in BLUE ink. Fill the gap in the following sentences on a sheet of paper with your name, and intention.

I _______ am so grateful for  ____________.
I _______ have blissful relationships with  ___________.
I _______ have increased my health, and well being by  ________________.
I _______ am abundant with _____________.

Example:
I, Jennifer, am so grateful for my upcoming trip to India.
I, Jennifer, have blissful relationships with friends that share my insights, and values.
I, Jennifer, have increased my health, and well being by practising yoga three times a week, and running 2 miles each day.
I, Jennifer, am abundant with a diverse portfolio of cryptocurrency, and a book deal with a major publisher.When finished, take the paper, and put it under your pillow. Visualize each of these events every day, and visualize/embody your practice each day until the next Full moon. When the next Full Moon occurs, take the paper out from under your bed, and burn it with a white candle, expressing gratitude for what’s manifested, and what will continue to unfold.
