Krishna Mala With Tulsi Beads & Kyanite

This lovely little mala forms part of the Hindu Deity Range.
You will see previously that I published a post on necklets which had a range of Hindu Deity Amulets, some of the pendant pieces I set aside to make in to malas and other things, this being the first which did call to be a mala set with the sacred Tulsi beads having two quarter separators with kyanite, hand knotted on to green silk which captures the background of Krishna nicely, highlighting his presence.

Krishna Pendant Piece/Amulet

Originally these pendant/amulet pieces are given to children threaded with black cord/silk/cotton which is for good luck, warding off bad luck.  They are then kept for ‘life’ or as long as ideally told to me by a friend.
There are many modern copies of these which are photocopies with plastic over the top and there are also very beautiful but incredibly expensive antique ones, these are in the middle, being Indian silver, with glass on top of hand-painted silk Hindu Deities.
Krishna is the God of compassion, tenderness, and love in Hinduism.  He is one of the most widely revered and popular Indian divinities, worshipped as the eighth incarnation of the Hindu god Vishnu and also as the supreme God in his own right.

Tulsi Beads

Tulsi (Holy Basil)  has been revered in India for over five thousand years, as a healing balm for body, mind and spirit, and is known to bestow an amazing number of health benefits.  Recently best known as a tea from Organic India.
Tulsi or Tulasi (Ocimum tenuiflorum) or Holy basil is a sacred plant in Hindu belief. Hindus regard it as an earthly manifestation of the goddess Tulsi, a consort of the god Vishnu. The offering of its leaves is mandatory in ritualistic worship of Vishnu and his forms like Krishna and Vithoba.
Many Hindus have tulsi plants growing in front of or near their home, often in special pots or special small masonry structures. Traditionally, Tulsi is planted in the center of the central courtyard of Hindu houses. The plant is cultivated for religious and medicinal purposes, and for its essential oil.

Kyanite is a stone of channeling, altered states, vivid dreams, dream recall, and visualizations. It gives protection during these states. It brings loyalty, honesty and tranquility, and diminishes anger and confusion. Kyanite does not retain negative energy and never needs energetic cleansing. It does align and balances all chakras, often very suddenly. Kyanite can remove energy blockages.
Green Kyanite is particularly good for balancing the heart chakra and maintaining heart balance. It is also used to reduce anger with love.
