Stunning Intricate Ganesh, Hand Carved In Amethyst
Wow, this piece is just so stunning.
No, I didn’t make it, I absolutely wish I had the skillset to make such a wonderful carving.
Sometimes I find gems that just cannot sit hidden anymore and so I snap them up with the aim that they will find a loving home and this is such a piece.
This beautiful Ganesh consists of nearly a 1lb in weight of hand carved amethyst, carved in India.
The amethyst gives off a spectrum of shades and different colours and is a beauty to behold
Let me tell you a little bit more about the auspicious Ganesh if you don’t know already.
Ganesh, also known as Ganapati, is immediately recognisable as the elephant-headed god. He is the god of wisdom and learning, as well as the remover of obstacles, and consequently the sign of auspiciousness.
In life, you will come face to face with both good and bad.
His large belly tells us to digest all the good and bad in life, peacefully.
The four arms remind us of his omnipotent presence. In one of his arms, he is holding an axe, which is another way of asking us to cut off all the bonds of attachment for a peaceful life.
The lotus in other hand teaches us to cherish your life and be pure, even when surrounded by something as bad as mud.
The broken tusk of Lord Ganesh reminds us of his sacrifice made for the great cause of writing Mahabharath. Devotees also believe that the whole body of Lord Ganesh symbolises the whole universe.
If you are facing some hard times in your life, not able to finish anything you started, try self-gifting Ganesh idols. It might change your luck upside-down.
To summarise, Ganesh idols are seashells with gems of happiness and prosperity packed inside. You just need to know how to make use of these priceless seashells.
This piece has found it’s home I am very happy to say and is reserved for a discerning customer.
