Chakra Activation Workshop Series – Day 25 – Brow Chakra, Ajna
The Key Words Related To The Brow Chakra
Spirit And The Brow Chakra
According to its nature, ‘spirit’ is difficult to define. It is often confused or contrasted with ‘soul’. One of the aims of alchemy is to effect a mystical marriage between spirit and soul. Spirit is thus seen as clear, direct and initiating, while soul is receptive and gestating. The spirit initiates and commands life and its evolutionary tasks; the soul receives and sifts the experienced gained. The spirit seeks completeness, commands action to enable it, and fertilizes inspiration and insight.
Within each one of us there is a spark of essence which never gets clouded. Somewhere, beyond our behaviour patterns and reactions to life, untouched by flaws of personality, character or morality even within the most apparently vicious criminal, this spark burns on. When we know it in ourselves and honour it in others, it is near impossible to be inhumane.
Completeness And The Brow Chakra
As a key word for this chakra, it speaks of the urge to achieve perfection and wholeness. The brow centre awakens a need to enjoy the completeness of inner harmony of body, mind, emotions, spirit and soul.
Inspiration And The Brow Chakra
As well as meaning the sense of being spiritually inspired, or receiving inspiration it also means ‘in-breath’; the Green ‘pneuma’ and the Latin ‘spiritus’ mean both spirit and breath. From such derivations came the Christian emphasis on the ‘Breath of God’, which we breathe in to inspired and animate us spiritually, physically and mentally.
Insight And The Brow Chakra
Insight links perception with understanding It is the highest level of intuition. On the subtle levels, insight penetrates beyond the boundaries of time and space and enables a wider comprehension of the inner worlds and mysteries. When insight is activated in the brow centre, meeting with discarnate guides will be facilitated.
Command And The Brow Chakra
In Sanskrit, the name for the brow centre is ‘Ajna’, which literally translated, means ‘command’. Through awakening this centre we can attain greater command of our lives and respond with enhanced awareness and sensitivity to the ‘command’ of our spirit.
