Grounding Boho Anklets – Root Chakra – Custom Bespoke Order

I had great fun making these anklets, learning a new knotting technique which looks very Japanese, lurving it totally!
So the request was for some grounding.  We are back to the chakras again.  Grounding predominantly comes from our root chakra or the tattwa of Earth is represented by a yellow square.Muladhara (Sanskrit: मूलाधार, IAST: Mūlādhāra.

One of the stones fantastic for grounding is Hematite and what better a place than to put it on or near your feet, ie anklets, perfect for grounding.

Boho Grounding Bell Anklet

So with a few other additions to put on it, I set to designing two anklets, one for each foot.
You can find out more about chakras here:  Chakras
untitled-0069So lets tell you a little bit about hematite first.

♥ Focus ♥ Concentration ♥ Willpower ♥ Reliability ♥ Courage ♥ Confidence ♥ Optimism ♥ Trust ♥ Balance ♥ Stability ♥ Protection
Hematite, also spelled Haematite, is the mineral form of Iron Oxide.
Chakras – Base Chakra
Zodiac – Aries, Aquarius
Planet – Mars
– Fire/Earth
Typical colours –
Black to steel or silver-grey, brown to reddish brown, or red
Hematite grounds and protects us.  It strengthens our connection with the earth, making us feel safe and secure.  It endows us with courage, strength, endurance and vitality.  A “stone for the mind”, Hematite stimulates concentration and focus, enhancing memory and original thought.
Hematite utilises the magnetic qualities of our yin-yang energies to balance the meridians within the body and to provide a stable equilibrium between the ethereal nervous system and the physical nervous system.  It focuses energy and emotions for balance between the body, mind and spirit.
Dissolves negativity and prevents you from absorbing the negativity of others.  Hematite is strong, combating timidity, boosting self-esteem and survivability, enhancing willpower and reliability, and imparting confidence.
So this little anklet is so so cute, it has Boho antique bells on, except there is no actual bell inside, which is really a plus as it can get quite annoying tinging everywhere you walk, plus it means you cannot creep up on anyone.  I have hand knotted this with red silk, red the colour of the root chakra and the beautiful little ocean blue hematite square beads make it a gloriously delicate thing to wear.

Boho Grounding Buddha Anklet

Now this anklet to me screams fun, fun as well as grounding one’s root chakra, we could all do with a little bit of fun right?  For some reason I think of naughty sticky sweets, fun in the sun or sand and a little bit of meditation, a weird combination right?
The colours really glint on this anklet, the small Buddha always giving us a gentle reminder of the important things in life.
The small colourful beads interspersed between are agate, a good all round healing stone, yum!
Now we move on to the root chakra, let’s share a little about that too!

Root Chakra

Located at the base of the spine, the pelvic floor, and the first three vertebrae, the root chakra is responsible for your sense of safety and security on this earthly journey. The word Muladhara breaks down into two Sanskrit words: Mula meaning “root” and Adhara, which means “support” or “base.”
This is the first of the chakras of matter. Balancing the root chakra creates the solid foundation for opening the chakras above. Imagine that you’re laying the foundation for a house in which you’re going to live for a long time. A solid foundation embedded in firm soil will provide the stability you need to create a home filled with joy for years to come.
The root chakra is comprised of whatever grounds you to stability in your life. This includes your basic needs such as food, water, shelter, and safety, as well as your more emotional needs such as letting go of fear. When these needs are met, you feel grounded and safe, and you tend to worry less day to day.
Whether or not you feel secure now often has less to do with what you have at your disposal and more to do with how safe you felt as a small child. When you consider psychologist Erik Erickson’s stages of development, the first stage—trust versus mistrust—is closely related to your root chakra development. As infants, if your caregivers readily gave you what you needed to survive with consistency, you felt secure in the world. You felt that the world was a place that could be trusted to provide your basic needs. Yet, if your caregivers withheld or delayed in giving you what you needed, or if that giving was inconsistent, you may find yourself with first chakra blockages.

Now though these are sold, I have more hematite, more Buddhas, more crystal, more designs in mind, so give me a shout if you want something not only adorable to adorn your ankle but perhaps with something a little deeper in mind purpose wise, ie some good old grounding or something else?
Blessings, Justine xx
